Southwestern Chicken Wraps

These wraps are easy and totally kid friendly.  You can include all or some of the ingredients depending on taste.  Easy, healthy recipe that you can prep beforehand!


Southwestern Chicken Wraps


  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon pickled jalapeños
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 4 whole wheat tortillas
  • 3 cups baby spinach
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado, thinly sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • In a medium bowl, mix sour cream, jalapeños, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread sour cream sauce on tortilla, leaving a border.  In center, layer equal amounts of spinach, chicken, beans, tomato, onion, and avocado.  Fold two sides of tortilla over filling, then roll tightly, ending seam down.
